Senior Manager / Controller, Accounting & Finance – US Real Estate Company

We are leading a search for a Senior Manager / Controller of Accounting & Finance for a US Real Estate Company with a portfolio spanning Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the USA. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an international team, and a chance to learn the ins and outs of a complex global real estate business.

Position & Team Highlights

– The position will report to leadership in the US and liaise with Japanese and Australian business partners 
– Primary responsibility will be overseeing the finance and accounting strategy for the company’s Asia-Pacific real estate portfolio including:

  • Supervising monthly and quarterly close process
  • Leading annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Support external audits by preparing work papers, reviewing financials, and coordinating with business partners
  • Maintaining strong controls and supporting continuous review and implementation of internal controls
  • Working with Accounting Team and Asset Managers on property status reports, leasing, OPEX, CAPEX, and expenses
  • Attend quarterly valuation meetings to contribute to the valuation process
  • Other interesting Accounting / Real Estate projects

Qualifications

  1. CPA / CA (preferred)
  2. BA / BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar (required)
  3. 5+ years in accounting or other applicable experience (real estate experience preferred)
  4. Business-level English and Japanese required

Salary

12,000,000 JPY – 14,000,000 JPY + 25% Annual Bonus
