Corporate Accounting, Associate Director – Workday Implementation + Operational Finance

We are searching for an Associate Director of Corporate Accounting professional to focus on leading special projects supporting global financial operations, Workday ERP implementation & financial reporting build out & general support for the accounting and finance function of the company.
The position will oversee a team of 3 direct reports – Senior Accountant, AP Manager, Global Corporate Credit Card Administrator (~10 total with indirect reports, as the AP Manager oversees a team of 6-8)
As the company is going live with a new ERP (Workday) in 2025, there will be many interesting projects around getting the entire operational finance function set up correctly on Workday on a global scale including complex Accounts Payable – which integrates with Concur, Banking / Treasury as it relates to payments, integration of vendors and supplier relationships, establishing a centralized global spend reporting system and various GL / financial close procedures. The actual journal entries & financial close are performed by a peer level AD of Accounting, while this position will have the operational finance side and special projects.

Total compensation package (Base Salary, Annual Bonus, Profit Sharing, 401k match) = ~$250,000
While there is an initial 1-2 year plan for this position, it is newly created, thus the hired individual will have some autonomy and ability to influence the scope of responsibilities as they are established and the new ERP is active & accurate. The company is growing and has been steadily adding headcount across all accounting & finance teams over the past 7 years, and will continue to do so as the business expands.
Qualifications:
- 10-25+ years of relevant accounting experience (midsize to large company knowledge is helpful)
- Experience with ERP implementations is required. Workday is a plus.
- Experience, desire and ability to lead the operational finance team on a global scale
- Process improvement mindset
- Excellent communication and professionalism
- People management and mentorship experience
- CPA / MSA / Prior public accounting is a plus (but not required)
