Barber shops, pet groomers and repair shops are driving June jobs loss

Preliminary estimates show that Massachusetts lost 4,500 jobs in June, one of only a handful of times that a month-over-month decline has happened since the height of the pandemic. While there has been mass layoffs across the Boston tech industry, that was not the industry that led the job loss.
