Janey, acting mayor, unveils changes to boost diversity in city contracting

Shortly before he left office, Mayor Marty Walsh issued an executive order that calls on the city to allocate at least 25% of its contractor spending to minority- and women-owned businesses, including at least 10% for minority-owned firms. Acting Mayor Kim Janey did not alter that target on Wednesday, though she introduced other initiatives.
