Mass. health care spending exceeded the state’s cap in 2019 for the 2nd year in a row

Total Massachusetts health care spending grew 4.3% in 2019, well above the limits state officials had set for growth and the second-highest rate of growth in six years. And the pandemic is likely to make that worse.
