NIH gives $8M to Mass General Brigham to study Covid ‘long-haulers’

The grant will fund research into the long-term effects of a Covid infection, known as “Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection”, in which patients can lose all sense of smell, have lingering brain fog or suffer from ongoing fatigue, persistent dizziness or continued shortness of breath. They may even develop new symptoms following infection.
