Boston serial entrepreneur Paul English is known for co-founding travel tech firm Kayak, sold to Priceline.com for $1.8 billion in 2013. But the list of his obsessions turning into companies includes eight ventures co-founded since 1999, focusing on arcane and less-arcane subjects spanning from Chinese chess players (Xiangqi.com, relaunched in 2021) to business travel (Lola.com, where he’s currently CTO). His latest rabbit hole has become widely popular in recent years: podcasts.
