State budget axes $10M for state’s life sciences agency while boosting job training

In the compromise budget, Massachusetts legislators mostly upheld Gov. Maura Healey’s efforts to spur workforce development in the life sciences. But a $10 million line item for the quasi-public Massachusetts Life Sciences Center did not make the cut.
