These employees fundraise for UMass Amherst, but their salaries are secret

The UMass Amherst Foundation, the fundraising arm of the flagship campus for the University of Massachusetts system, pays around $3 million a year in salaries. But while public money accounts for at least some of that total, state taxpayers have no way to know how many employees work at the foundation, or what they earn.
