Op-ed: Don’t double down on failed test-and-punish method

It’s time for Massachusetts to regain its historic status as a public education leader. Updating our state school-funding formula is an excellent start. But rather than mar this progress by doubling down on our failed test-and-punish approach, we should enable districts to use the funds to chart a new course toward educational equity and excellence for all.
