Boston Herald editor is leaving to join Channel 7

Joe Sciacca witnessed the Boston tabloid’s transformation from a scrappy, populist counterpoint to the Boston Globe during its heyday from the 1980s through the early 2000s to its bankruptcy and subsequent purchase by Digital First Media (now renamed MediaNews Group) in February 2018.
