Ameriprise buys EMEA business to bolster Columbia Threadneedle

Ameriprise Inc. said it has agreed to acquire the Europe, Middle East and Africa asset management business from BMO Financial Group, the parent company of Bank of Montreal, in a deal worth about $845 million.
