Pension fund puts up $775M for Suffolk Downs residential projects

One of the largest real estate projects in Massachusetts history — the 161-acre Suffolk Downs redevelopment in East Boston and Revere — is receiving a $775M in investment from a national pension fund for union electrical workers. The goal is to have 4,200 residential units at Suffolk Downs within eight years, according to HYM Investment Group CEO Tom O’Brien.
