People’s United knocks one ex-worker’s claims from discrimination lawsuit

A federal judge has dismissed one former People’s United Bank vice president’s allegations claiming the lender’s senior Mass. leadership repeatedly discriminated against employees on racial and other grounds, but the judge allowed other ex-employee claims. According to the suit, a People’s United executive allegedly said a Black branch manager “dresses like a hood girl" and told a Muslim employee she hoped she was not a terrorist, among other purported discriminatory behavior.
