With $150M from SoftBank, Formlabs CEO says of going public: ‘Not today’

Desktop Metal Inc. in Burlington and Markforged Inc. in Watertown, two of the three largest 3D printing companies based in Massachusetts, have recently been in the news after opting to go public via a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC. But the third of those companies, Somerville-based Formlabs Inc., has declined to talk with the Business Journal in recent weeks about any plans to go public. That is, until today.
