Shareholders to vote on Gannett-GateHouse merger today

The sale of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s owner is scheduled for shareholder votes Thursday and the buyer’s CEO said executives “remain very excited” about closing the transaction even as the newsroom union criticized the deal.
