Boston cleantech company XL Fleet starts trading in latest SPAC deal

Boston-based XL Fleet is the latest Massachusetts company to go public through a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC. The deal made sense for the company because of the pace of the process, which is usually less time-consuming than traditional initial public offerings, President Tod Hynes said in an interview.
