Chamber urges pay bump for MBTA chief as search continues

A business group’s analysis suggests the next MBTA head should be paid a salary of $450,000 to $500,000. That would represent a more than 30 percent raise over the base salary that MBTA General Manager Steve Poftak earned last year.
