PTC to buy another SaaS provider, Arena Solutions, for $715M

Boston-based PTC Inc. is paying approximately one third more than its now second-largest acquisition to date to bring another company’s tools under its umbrella of software-as-a-service services. The acquisition of California-based Arena Solutions is PTC’s biggest acquisition ever, surpassing last year’s $470 million deal with Cambridge design software startup Onshape.
