SmartLabs raises $250M to scale operations to 2 million square feet

SmartLabs, which bills itself as a "laboratory-as-a-service" provider, offers flexible lab and office spaces that are customizable to accommodate research groups from fewer than 10 to more than 200 people on the East and West Coasts. Currently, the company operates four locations in Massachusetts in Kendall Square, East Cambridge, Boston Landing and the Seaport District, and one location in South San Francisco in California.
