Accounting Director, US GAAP – leading PE Firm

This highly visible role sits within the corporate accounting organization and is responsible for overseeing global financial reporting, consolidations, and technical accounting initiatives across a complex international footprint. What You’ll Own
- Lead global US GAAP financial reporting, consolidations, and accounting policy development
- Oversee a high-performing team responsible for close and reporting activities across multiple international entities
- Manage complex accounting areas including consolidations (VIEs), acquisitions, and technical accounting assessments
- Drive automation and process enhancements across Workday and related financial systems
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, and Fund Accounting to ensure accuracy and alignment across global reporting
- Coordinate annual audits and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting
Qualifications
- Progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, ideally a mix of Big 4 and corporate
- Deep technical accounting and consolidation expertise under US GAAP
- Experience managing global entities and working in a complex, multinational environment
- Hands-on systems knowledge: Workday strongly preferred
- CPA required; advanced degree or IFRS exposure a plus
- Exceptional communication skills and leadership presence
Compensation
- Strong base salary, 60% annual bonus, carried interest participation, profit sharing, and 100% employer-paid healthcare with industry-leading retirement benefits.
