Finance Manager, Carried Interest & GP Services (Private Equity) | Boston / hybrid

Base Salary: $135,000 - $150,000
A top-tier global private equity firm is seeking a Finance Manager, Carried Interest & GP Services to join its Boston-based finance team. This role supports General Partner and carried interest entities and offers hands-on exposure to partnership accounting, carried interest administration, tax reporting, and senior leadership.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced partnership accountant looking to step into a high-visibility, analytically rigorous role within a world-class private equity platform.
This role is best suited for a high-performing audit or partnership accounting professional with exposure to private equity, alternative investments, or complex partnership structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee quarterly carried interest income allocations and distribution calculations
- Manage capital accounts for carry participants and monitor clawback exposure
- Review U.S. taxable income allocations and oversee Schedule K-1 delivery
- Support international tax reporting and related compliance initiatives
- Review GP and carry entity books, cash reconciliations, and system tie-outs
- Assist with consolidation into the management company under U.S. GAAP
- Prepare analyses and materials for senior management
- Support systems and process improvement initiatives
Ideal Candidate
- CPA strongly preferred
- Professional accounting experience with U.S. partnerships
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Private equity, venture capital, or alternative investment experience strongly preferred; experience at a top-tier fund administrator supporting complex structures is also welcomed.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and partnership accounting
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Investran or similar systems a plus
- Highly detail-oriented, discreet, and comfortable working with senior stakeholders

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary + Annual Bonus: ~30%–35%
- Profit Sharing: 5%–10% (eligible after 2 years)
