Senior Valuation Analyst – Private Equity & Private Credit

Base Salary: $95,000 - $115,000
We are looking for a Senior Valuation Analyst to join a top-tier global alternative investment platform. This role sits within a highly visible private equity finance function focused on portfolio valuation and performance monitoring across a diverse set of investments. You will play a central role in valuation execution, portfolio analytics, and financial analysis, partnering closely with deal teams, senior finance leadership, and external advisors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong valuation professional coming from investment banking, Big 4 valuation/advisory, or transaction services who wants to transition into a premier buy-side platform. The role offers significant exposure to live investments, senior decision-makers, and best-in-class valuation practices and is often viewed internally as a strong long-term career accelerator.

Key Responsibilities
- Support quarterly and annual valuation processes for private equity portfolio companies in accordance with fair value standards (ASC 820 / IPEV)
- Build, review, and refine valuation models including DCFs, public and transaction comparables, unit economics, and capital structure waterfalls
- Partner closely with deal teams to analyze operating performance, key value drivers, and changes in business outlook
- Prepare valuation materials and analyses for internal review committees and senior stakeholders
- Assist with portfolio monitoring, including tracking key financial metrics, performance trends, and investment-level insights
Qualifications
- Experience in investment banking, valuation/advisory, transaction services, or a private equity / alternative investment environment
- Strong foundation in corporate finance, valuation methodologies, and financial modeling
- Experience with private equity valuations or portfolio analysis strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with valuation tools or portfolio systems (e.g., Chronograph, Anaplan, or similar) a plus
- CPA, CFA, or progress toward a designation is a plus
