Investor Relations Associate (Project Coordination)
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Workspace Type: Hybrid
Base Salary: $85,000 - $115,000
A growing investment firm with a collaborative, team-oriented culture is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support project management and coordination across its Investor Relations function.
Role Overview
This position sits at the intersection of Investor Relations, project management, and internal coordination. You will support the organization and execution of investor-facing initiatives, reporting processes, diligence responses, meeting preparation, and internal IR priorities. Rather than focusing primarily on capital raising or sales, the role is centered on organization, follow-through, process management, and cross-functional coordination; helping senior IR professionals keep multiple investor-related projects moving accurately, efficiently, and on deadline.
Compensation and Benefits
The firm offers a competitive compensation package with a strong base salary, annual bonus, retirement contribution, and robust benefits. Benefits include fully paid medical and dental premiums for employees and eligible family members, a 10% employer retirement contribution based on base pay, paid family leave, fertility and family-forming benefits, professional development support, charitable giving match, and other employee-focused programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project management across the Investor Relations function, including tracking priorities, timelines, deliverables, and follow-ups across multiple investor-facing workstreams
- Coordinate investor reporting processes, including performance materials, quarterly updates, presentations, and recurring LP communications
- Help manage fundraising, diligence, and investor communication projects by coordinating inputs from investment, finance, legal, compliance, and operations teams
- Assist with DDQs, RFPs, investor questionnaires, data requests, and ad hoc diligence materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely completion
- Maintain IR data, CRM workflows, investor records, activity tracking, project trackers, and reporting calendars
- Partner with senior IR professionals to prepare for investor meetings, annual meetings, LPAC materials, fundraising updates, and firm-hosted events
- Help maintain quality control across investor-facing materials, including presentation updates, data checks, approvals, version control, and deadline management
- Identify opportunities to improve IR processes, documentation, workflows, and internal coordination as the platform continues to scale
Ideal Background
- Experience in investor relations, project management, client service, fund operations, investor reporting, private markets, asset management, consulting, or a related financial services environment.
- Strong attention to detail, comfort managing timelines and deliverables, and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders are essential.
- This role is well-suited for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable keeping complex processes on track behind the scenes.
- The right person will take pride in precision, follow-through, and communication, and will enjoy working in a sophisticated private investment environment without being in a sales-oriented role.
- Familiarity with private equity, private credit, institutional investors, DDQs, fundraising support, CRM systems, LP reporting, or investor communications is strongly preferred.
