Accounting Director – Alternative Investment Funds

We are working on a confidential search for a Director to join a well-established real estate investment management firm. The team is looking for a strong real estate fund accounting leader who can oversee fund-level accounting, financial reporting, investor accounting, tax coordination, waterfalls, and portfolio-level analysis across a mix of real estate investment vehicles.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of real estate fund accounting but also wants a visible, cross-functional role with exposure to Investor Services, Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Acquisitions, Capital Markets, Valuations, Tax, Legal, lenders, auditors, and external investors. The right person will be comfortable reviewing financial statements, managing deadlines, leading accounting staff, digging into fund structures and JV agreements, and making sure reporting is accurate, thoughtful, and well-controlled.

The team is collaborative, experienced, and values people who take ownership, communicate well, and bring a high standard of accuracy to their work. This should be a strong fit for someone coming from public accounting and/or real estate investment management who has meaningful fund-level responsibility, management experience, a CPA, and strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial statements, waterfalls, capital activity, and complex real estate fund structures.
