Corporate Paralegal – Alternative Investments

Base Salary: $90,000 - $125,000
We are seeking a Paralegal to join the Legal & Compliance team of a highly regarded private investment firm. This is a newly created role with broad exposure across the organization and a real opportunity to take ownership of processes, improve how the team operates, and become a key resource within a lean, high-performing legal function.
The role will support senior Legal and Compliance leaders across fund documentation, entity management, investor-related matters, and recurring compliance activities. It’s a strong opportunity for someone coming from an in-house legal team or a strong law firm paralegal background who wants more ownership, visibility, and room to make an impact.

What You’ll Do
- Help manage fund documentation, amendments, consents, side letters, and other key legal records
- Maintain and improve fund, entity, and investor tracking systems
- Monitor investor-specific obligations including side letter requirements, investment restrictions, excuse rights, and reporting deliverables
- Manage entity lifecycle matters including formations, dissolutions, name changes, good standing requests, and related documentation
- Support recurring compliance activities including NDA conflict clearance, trade pre-clearance, and expert network reviews
- Coordinate AML/KYC requests from investors, banks, counterparties, and other external parties
- Work closely with outside counsel and internal teams including Finance and Investor Relations
- Develop SOPs, documentation, and better processes across the Legal & Compliance function
- Take ownership of projects and help identify ways to make the team more organized, efficient, and scalable
What You Bring
- Relevant paralegal or legal/compliance experience
- In-house or strong law firm experience; investment management, private equity, credit, or alternative investments is a plus
- Ability to operate independently and comfortably within a lean team
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work across different levels of an organization
