Legal Operations Associate – OT Eligible

Base Salary: $65,000 - $80,000
We are seeking a Legal Operations Associate to join the Legal Affairs group at a leading global alternative investment platform. This role plays an important operational function within the firm’s document control process, acting as a central point of coordination for the review, execution, and management of legal documentation related to investment activity.
Working closely with internal stakeholders across deal teams, trading, and legal, this individual will help ensure that documentation flows smoothly through the execution process while maintaining accurate records within the firm’s document management systems. The role also serves as a key liaison for coordinating access to deal data rooms and routing external requests to the appropriate internal contacts.

Key Responsibilities
- Review incoming legal and transactional documents to ensure they are properly organized, validated, and prepared for execution
- Coordinate the document signature process and ensure executed documents are delivered and stored in the firm’s document management systems
- Maintain and organize the firm’s document warehouse to support efficient storage, retrieval, and recordkeeping
- Coordinate access to deal data rooms for new transactions and serve as a liaison between deal teams, trading desks, agents, and legal stakeholders
- Route external requests and inquiries to the appropriate internal contacts and ensure timely follow-up
- Track document lifecycle activity from initial review through execution, delivery, and retention
- Identify opportunities to streamline document control processes and improve operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Experience in a legal operations, compliance, financial services, or administrative support role
- New grads with relevant internships are encouraged to apply
- Prior exposure to legal documentation, control room functions, ethical walls, or compliance processes is a plus
- Experience within an investment bank, asset manager, law firm, or financial services environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of the organization
