Manager, Alternative Credit Fund Finance

Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Workspace Type: Hybrid

Base Salary: $130,000 - $160,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee key aspects of fund and portfolio-level finance across alternative credit and special situations strategies
  • Analyze investment activity, capital flows, and performance metrics, ensuring accuracy across reporting and deliverables
  • Partner directly with investment and portfolio teams on complex transactions and ongoing portfolio activity
  • Develop a deep understanding of sophisticated investment structures and their accounting, tax, and legal implications
  • Lead coordination with external administrators and auditors, driving timelines and maintaining high-quality output
  • Identify and implement process improvements, with a focus on automation and increasing efficiency across reporting workflows
  • Support investor-related deliverables, fundraising efforts, and ad hoc strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience within public accounting and/or an investment advisor, asset manager, or fund environment
  • Strong foundation in accounting with exposure to partnerships, private funds, or complex investment structures
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent credential preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Advanced Excel skills required; experience with VBA, Power BI, Alteryx, or Python is a plus
