A leading global accounting and business advisory firm is making multiple senior leadership hires within its Financial Accounting Advisory Service practice. This is a highly entrepreneurial, market-facing opportunity for an accomplished Audit, Financial Accounting Advisory, Technical Accounting, or Accounting Advisory leader who is ready for a bigger platform, faster career progression, and a more direct connection between market impact and compensation upside.
The firm is seeking senior professionals at the Managing Director and Partner level, with final title determined by experience, seniority, client relationships, business development track record, and overall market impact.
This is a visible position in the regional market with a mandate to take over existing clients + build and expand executive relationships, grow existing client accounts, originate new business, and help shape the next stage of growth for an already established advisory platform.

Role Overview
As a Managing Director or Partner in Financial Accounting Advisory Services, you will serve as a one of the market leaders and trusted advisors to CFOs, CAOs, Controllers, Audit Committees, private equity sponsors, and executive leadership teams. The role combines technical accounting leadership, executive-level client service, business development, team leadership, and market visibility.
You will own senior client relationships, identify and pursue new opportunities, expand existing accounts, lead complex advisory engagements, and mentor high-performing teams. The firm is looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, winning work, expanding the scope of current accounts and helping grow a practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow senior client relationships, including direct interaction with CFOs, CAOs, Controllers, Audit Committees, private equity sponsors, and other executive stakeholders.
- Drive business development through market networking, existing relationships, referral sources, events, direct outreach, and expansion of current client accounts.
- Oversee complex Accounting Advisory engagements involving technical accounting, SEC reporting, IPO readiness, S-1 / S-4 filings, M&A, acquisition accounting, divestitures, carve-outs, pro forma financial statements, revenue recognition, lease accounting, CECL, stock-based compensation, debt and equity transactions, embedded derivatives, IFRS / U.S. GAAP matters, public company readiness, internal controls, financial statement preparation, audit support, accounting policy development, and technical memo preparation.
- Manage engagement scoping, execution, economics, staffing, delivery quality, client satisfaction, invoicing, collections, and follow-on opportunities.
- Partner with other senior leaders across the firm to pursue larger client opportunities, develop internal talent, contribute to thought leadership, and represent the firm externally.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a technically strong, commercially minded professional services leader with a foundation in Big 4 public accounting and the drive to build business in an entrepreneurial advisory environment. Strong candidates will typically bring:
- Experience in Big 4 Audit, Big 4 Accounting Advisory / FAAS / AAS, transaction advisory, technical accounting advisory, SEC reporting advisory, or senior advisory leadership at a national firm or specialized accounting advisory firm.
- Current or prior experience at the Senior Manager, Director, Managing Director, Principal, or Partner level.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, financial reporting, and complex accounting matters.
- A proven ability to lead executive-level client relationships, oversee large engagements, develop teams, and generate or expand revenue.
- Strong communication skills, executive presence, commercial judgment, and the ability to explain complex accounting topics clearly.
- CPA strongly preferred.
Compensation
- Compensation will be highly dependent on experience, title level, client relationships, business development history, and overall market impact.
- Total compensation may be materially higher through annual performance bonus, managed revenue incentives, profitability / margin-based incentives, new business development incentives, equity or long-term incentive components, and other executive compensation elements.
