Property Accountant – High-Growth Real Estate

A growing, entrepreneurial commercial real estate group is looking to hire a Property Accountant.

This is a great opportunity for someone with accounting, auditing, or property accounting experience who wants to join a small, entrepreneurial real estate business during a growth stage. The company is primarily focused on commercial real estate and is continuing to expand its platform, with additional third-party management work, new deals under agreement, and plans to greatly expand over the coming years

The team is lean, hands-on, and highly collaborative. This person will work closely with the Controller, Property Management, C-suite teams, supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the portfolio. The role will include accounts receivable, accounts payable, tenant billing, bank reconciliations, Rent Manager maintenance, reporting support, and assisting the Property Manager with property-level accounting items.

• Hands-on involvement with Rent Manager, including maintaining accurate property and tenant records, setting up new properties and leases, and supporting system-related items as needed.
• Will assist the Property Manager with utility billing, CAM-related items, and other property accounting needs, though deep CAM reconciliation experience is not required.
• Exposure to budgeting, year-end financials, 1099s, monthly reporting, variance analysis, audit support, and internal accounting processes.
