Senior Accountant – International Fund Finance

Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Workspace Type: Hybrid

Base Salary: $105,000 - $115,000

Total Compensation: $149,000 - $170,000

A collaborative and well-respected global investment firm is hiring a senior to join its Boston team. This is a standout opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to move beyond a traditional close-only or audit-only path and step into a broader role with exposure to international fund and entity activity, cross-border reporting, and high-impact business support inside a sophisticated investment platform.

This role is designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in alternative investments while gaining exposure to how an international finance function supports fund structures, related entities, and senior leadership across a global organization. The position offers a strong blend of accounting, reporting, analysis, audit support, business partnering, and process improvement, with visibility across finance, tax, legal, compliance, and external service providers in multiple jurisdictions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support the finance and accounting for a group of international funds and related entities across multiple regions
  • Help manage monthly, quarterly, and annual fund activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial package review
  • Review reporting from in-country or third-party providers and analyze balance sheet and P&L activity for accuracy and completeness
  • Partner with internal teams across accounting, tax, legal, compliance, and FP&A on ongoing operational and reporting needs
  • Take part in process improvement work to make accounting, reporting, and finance operations more efficient and scalable
  • Support cash activity, intercompany flows, and other international finance workflows
  • Contribute to ad hoc analysis, special projects, and broader business support for leadership as needed

Who this could be a great fit for

  • Someone coming out of Big 4 or large regional audit, especially with exposure to private equity, asset management, alternative investments, or multinational clients
  • A corporate accounting or finance professional from a multi-entity or global organization looking for a broader and more visible role
  • A fund accountant or alternative investment professional who wants to move into a more dynamic, in-house opportunity with international exposure
  • An accounting candidate who enjoys both the structure of financial reporting and the problem-solving side of cross-functional finance work

What stands out about the opportunity

This is a strong role for someone who wants to deepen their path in alternative assets without being boxed into a narrow accounting seat. The team is looking for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and excited by the idea of learning how international funds and related entities are supported, monitored, and reported on inside a leading global firm. The role also offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders, meaningful professional growth, and an attractive overall compensation and benefits package.

Compensation

Base salary is DOE, with a 25% annual bonus target, additional profit sharing, and a strong overall benefits package that includes over $10k in annual 401(k) match and highly competitive healthcare coverage.
