Senior Finance Associate, Coinvest Funds

A highly regarded investment firm is seeking a Senior Finance Associate to join its Co-Invest Fund Finance team. This individual will play a key role supporting the accounting, reporting, and operations of complex private equity structures, working closely with senior leadership across finance.

This role sits within a lean, high-performing team and offers strong visibility across the organization. The position provides hands-on exposure to alternative investments and the opportunity to work directly with Controllers, Directors, and senior executives on critical financial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support accounting and financial reporting for co-investment vehicles and GP entities
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist with fund-level reporting, including capital activity, allocations, and performance tracking
  • Partner with internal teams and external service providers (administrators, auditors) to ensure timely and accurate deliverables
  • Participate in the month-end and quarter-end close processes
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
  • Assist with audit coordination and respond to auditor requests
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function
  • Work closely with senior leadership on ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant experience in public accounting or fund accounting, preferably within alternative investments
  • CPA or progress toward certification strongly preferred
  • Experience with private equity, hedge funds, or investment management structures
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Excel
