Senior or Manager, Compensation Strategy – Leading PE Firm

Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Base Salary: $105,000 - $150,000

We are partnering with one of the world’s leading global alternative investment platforms to hire a Senior or Manager, Compensation Strategy professional to join its centralized compensation function. This is a highly visible, analytically rigorous role supporting a broad population of non-investment professionals across finance, technology, operations, legal, HR, and investor-facing teams. The position sits at the intersection of compensation strategy, financial analysis, and senior stakeholder partnership, offering meaningful exposure to leadership and the opportunity to influence pay design at scale within a best-in-class investment organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, analysis, and execution of compensation programs for the firm’s global non-investment population
  • Build and maintain competitive compensation structures, ensuring consistency, internal equity, and market alignment
  • Partner with business leaders and HRBPs on annual compensation planning, salary and bonus cycles, and offer structuring
  • Conduct financial modeling, scenario analysis, and benchmarking to support compensation decisions and leadership discussions
  • Assist with compensation-related financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning in partnership with FP&A
  • Translate complex analyses into clear, concise insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvement, automation, and enhanced use of compensation and HR technology
  • Provide guidance on compensation-related questions from managers and internal partners
  • Mentor and support junior team members, as appropriate based on level

Qualifications

  • Progressive experience in compensation, rewards, HR analytics, or a related analytics-driven environment
  • Strong foundation in compensation strategy, incentive design, and market benchmarking
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and analytical modeling
  • Experience in financial services, asset management, consulting, or another complex professional services environment preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills; comfort working with large data sets and building decision-ready analyses
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize and present complex information to senior audiences
  • MBA, CFA, or similar credentials a plus
