Tax Manager (Tax Advisory) – Remote, with hybrid optional
Location: United States
Workspace Type: Remote
Base Salary: $150,000 - $190,000
We are recruiting for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join the Tax Advisory practice of a high-growth global accounting and business advisory firm.
This is an opportunity to combine ASC 740 tax accounting, C-Corporation compliance, tax research and project-based advisory work in a client-facing environment that provides significantly more variety than a traditional recurring compliance role.
- Focus: ASC 740 tax provisions, federal and state C-Corporation tax compliance, tax research, planning and special projects
- Level: Manager; strong heavier Managers approaching Senior Manager will also be considered
- Additional compensation: Competitive base salary (DOE), Annual performance bonus, additional incentive compensation tied to billable activity, 401(k) match and long-term incentive/equity participation (RSUs)
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
Strong combination of ASC 740 and corporate tax work. The position provides meaningful exposure across quarterly and annual tax provisions, C-Corporation compliance, planning, research and special projects rather than limiting professionals to one narrow area of taxation.
Meaningful exposure to senior Tax leadership. The Manager works closely with experienced senior Tax professionals and has significant visibility within the broader Tax practice, providing strong mentorship and internal sponsorship opportunities.
Advisory-oriented client work. The role goes beyond preparing returns. Managers work directly with client tax, accounting and finance teams to solve technical issues, manage projects, improve processes and provide practical guidance.
Strong long-term career runway. The firm has a demonstrated preference for developing and promoting strong performers internally, with progression through Senior Manager, Director and senior practice leadership available for professionals who want increasing responsibility and client ownership.
Compensation that rewards additional contribution. In addition to base salary and annual performance compensation, the firm has an incentive structure that provides additional compensation for billable activity above established annual expectations. Manager-level professionals also participate in a long-term incentive/equity program.
Variety across clients and industries. The firm’s advisory model creates exposure to a broad mix of public, private, private equity-backed and growth-oriented companies across numerous industries, allowing professionals to continuously expand their technical and commercial experience.
