Finance Director

Overview
A growing restaurant investment and operating platform is seeking a Finance Director to take on a broad leadership role across its portfolio of established restaurant brands. This position sits within a lean, high-impact finance organization and will play a key role in helping strengthen financial structure, improve accountability, and support a multi-brand business as it continues to grow.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a hands-on environment where success requires sound judgment, strong accounting and finance fundamentals, and the ability to operate across audit, reporting, FP&A support, and broader finance operations. This person will partner closely with leadership and help bring greater consistency and discipline to an evolving organization.
Important Location Requirement: Although the role is remote, candidates must reside in New England and be comfortable making periodic trips to the corporate office in Boston for in-person meetings and collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Lead a broad range of finance, accounting, and business support responsibilities across the restaurant portfolio
- Manage the annual audit process, coordinate with external auditors, and help ensure a well-organized, audit-ready environment across multiple entities
- Review accounting outputs, support close and reporting processes, and help maintain financial accuracy and discipline
- Oversee FP&A resources and support budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting processes
- Help improve and formalize financial processes, bringing greater consistency, visibility, and accountability across the organization
- Support leadership on business questions, operational priorities, insurance renewals, and ad hoc projects as needed
- Act as a cross-functional finance partner to leadership across recurring priorities and special projects
- Operate as a versatile, hands-on leader who can balance strategic oversight with day-to-day execution in a lean environment
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of progressive experience across audit, accounting, finance, or related leadership roles
- Restaurant experience required
- Multi-unit, franchise, hospitality, or consumer-facing experience strongly preferred
- Strong experience managing external audits and working with auditors
- Public accounting background preferred
- CPA helpful but not required
- Experience across both accounting and finance, including reporting and financial analysis
