A highly regarded Boston-based investment firm is seeking a Senior Finance Associate to join one of their premiere fund finance teams. This individual will play a key role supporting the accounting, reporting, and operations of complex private equity structures, working closely with senior leadership across finance.
This role sits within a lean, high-performing team and offers strong visibility across the organization. The position provides hands-on exposure to alternative investments and the opportunity to work directly with Controllers, Directors, and senior executives on critical financial processes.

Responsibilities
- Fund Accounting & Reporting Ownership: Support accounting and financial reporting for private equity funds, ensuring accuracy and completeness across all deliverables
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Fund-Level Activity & Allocations: Assist with capital activity, investor allocations, and performance tracking across multiple funds
- Close Process Execution: Participate in month-end and quarter-end close processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis
- Financial Analysis & Insights: Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions and reporting needs
- Process Improvement & Automation: Contribute to enhancing workflows, systems, and reporting efficiencies within the finance function
- Ad Hoc & Strategic Projects: Work closely with senior leadership on special projects and broader strategic initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- 2-6 years of experience in public accounting or fund accounting, preferably within alternative investments
- CPA or progress toward certification strongly preferred
- Experience with private equity, hedge funds, or investment management structures
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Excel
