Manager, International Accounting & Financial Analysis

Base Salary: $135,000 - $160,000

Total Compensation: $185,000 - $250,000

A leading global investment firm is seeking an Manager (no direct reports) to join its high-performing finance team in Boston. This role sits within a highly visible international finance function responsible for overseeing global entities and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.

 

This is a hands-on, analytically driven position that blends technical accounting, global reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. The role offers exposure to senior leadership and international business partners, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, detail-oriented environment with both operational and strategic impact.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of international subsidiaries across multiple regions
  • Oversee monthly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
  • Review and validate reporting packages from global service providers to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and IFRS
  • Analyze financial results, perform variance analysis, and deliver insights to support leadership decision-making
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with tax, legal, FP&A, and corporate accounting teams on global initiatives
  • Support entity lifecycle activities including formations, restructurings, and liquidations
  • Monitor cash positions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment across entities
  • Develop and enhance reporting processes, controls, and system efficiencies
  • Prepare materials for senior leadership and board-level presentations

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a multinational environment
  • Prior public accounting experience required (Big 4 or large regional preferred)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP and/or IFRS)
  • Experience with international entities, consolidations, and multi-currency environments
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (Workday preferred)
