Senior Manager – Strategic Accounting Operations (VC firm)

This is a high-impact and mostly remote leadership role for someone who can bring structure, rigor, and strategic finance support across a multi-entity restaurant portfolio. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading from the front on technical accounting and audits while also partnering with leadership on forecasting, acquired entity support, and platform-building. Compensation is strong, with an all in package upwards of $225k.

What this role will own:

• Lead multiple simultaneous audits across operating entities, managing external auditors and driving an organized, audit-ready process
• Oversee technical accounting matters, including ASC 842 / lease accounting, while strengthening reporting accuracy and controls
• Provide strategic finance support to newly acquired restaurant entities, helping integrate processes, reporting, and financial discipline
• Manage and develop 2 FP&A team members, while overseeing budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting
• Review accounting outputs and help connect close, reporting, and business needs across the platform
• Partner directly with senior leadership on ad hoc analysis, decision support, and finance-related operational priorities
• Help build scalable finance infrastructure in a lean, high-visibility environment

Ideal background:

• 8+ years of progressive experience across audit, accounting, and finance leadership
• Strong experience managing audits across multiple entities
• Deep understanding of audit support, reporting, and FP&A
• Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit consumer space
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on role with both strategic and tactical responsibilities
• Public accounting background preferred; CPA helpful but not required
