VP, Actuarial Valuation & Transactions
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Workspace Type: Hybrid
Base Salary: $180,000 - $200,000
A well-capitalized and growing insurance platform is seeking a senior actuarial leader to help shape the next phase of its valuation and transaction infrastructure.
This is not a pure quarter-end reporting role. It is a highly visible opportunity for an experienced actuary to lead work across valuation, model enhancement, and transaction execution in a complex life and annuity environment. The role sits at the intersection of actuarial, pricing, reporting, data, and technology, and is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on technical work and cross-functional leadership. You will play a key role in translating new business activity into scalable valuation processes, improving model readiness, and supporting a growing reinsurance-focused platform.

- Senior VP-level actuarial leadership opportunity within a growing insurance and reinsurance platform
- Reports into senior actuarial leadership and manages a small team
- Broad exposure across valuation, actuarial modeling, transaction execution, data workflows, and financial reporting
- Meaningful collaboration with pricing, reporting, data, and technology partners
- Strong long-term opportunity for someone who wants to help build and improve actuarial infrastructure, not just maintain it
- Strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, commuter benefits, company-paid life insurance, health savings account support, wellness resources, and paid time off
- Generous PTO package, with 26 days to start at this level, plus holidays

- Troubleshoot issues that arise during production and reporting cycles
- Communicate technical findings, issues, and recommendations clearly to both actuarial and non-actuarial stakeholders

- Lead, mentor, and develop a small actuarial team while remaining engaged in the underlying work
Qualifications
- FSA or equivalent actuarial fellowship required
- Relevant actuarial experience
