Key Functions

  • Efficiencies and FP&A Scope: These finance teams play a vital role in business transformation by providing strategic insights derived from data analysis. Through forecasting models and scenario planning, FP&A professionals help organizations anticipate market trends, identify growth opportunities, and mitigate risks. These insights guide resource allocation and investment decisions to support the transformation objectives. As organizations undergo transformation, FP&A plays a critical role in driving efficiency and accountability across the enterprise. Through rigorous performance monitoring and variance analysis, these teams track the execution of transformation initiatives, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • ERP Implementations: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems integrate core business processes such as finance, human resources, supply chain management, and customer relationship management into a unified platform. ERP implementations involve the selection, customization, and deployment of ERP software tailored to the specific needs of an organization. During this implementation, businesses undergo a thorough analysis of existing processes, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement. This process often involves significant organizational change, requiring stakeholders to adapt to new workflows and technologies. Successful ERP implementations result in streamlined operations, improved data visibility, enhanced decision-making capabilities, and ultimately, increased productivity and profitability.
  • Financial Systems Optimization: Financial systems optimization is a critical component of business transformation, focusing on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes and systems within an organization. This includes the implementation of advanced accounting software, financial planning and analysis tools, and performance management systems. By leveraging modern financial systems, businesses can automate routine tasks, accelerate financial reporting cycles, and gain deeper insights into their financial performance. This enables more informed decision-making, better risk management, and enhanced compliance with regulatory requirements.

Corporate vs Advisory Firm Business Transformation

While the objectives of business transformation remain consistent across different contexts, the approach and considerations may vary significantly between corporate and advisory firm environments.

  • Corporate Business/Finance Transformation: In a corporate setting, business transformation initiatives are typically driven by internal stakeholders, such as executive leadership, department heads, and project teams. These initiatives are often aimed at addressing specific challenges or opportunities within the organization, such as improving operational efficiency, expanding into new markets, or driving digital innovation. This form of transformation involves a comprehensive assessment of the organization’s current state, defining strategic goals, and developing a roadmap for implementation. Corporate transformation requires strong leadership, effective change management, and collaboration across functional areas to ensure alignment with business objectives and successful execution.

  • Advisory Firm Business/Finance Transformation: In contrast, advisory firms specialize in providing strategic guidance and support to external clients undergoing business transformation. These firms offer a range of services, including management consulting, technology implementation, and organizational change management, to help clients achieve their transformation goals. Advisory firm consultants work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and opportunities, conducting in-depth assessments, developing tailored strategies, and supporting implementation efforts. They leverage their expertise, industry insights, and best practices to guide clients through the complexities of business transformation, driving sustainable change and delivering measurable results.

7-Step Origin Staffing Candidate Process

Results are achieved by understanding the “why”. Details matter. Let’s partner up & get it done.
  • Introductory Call / Meeting
  • Resume Strategy
  • Determining search parameters
  • Origin Staffing will only show you opportunities within set parameters. We always present the whole story behind the openings – including describing the company’s business infrastructure / future growth plans, reason for opening, team structure, general compensation & benefits info, job description and most importantly any specific color on the opportunity directly from the hiring manager.
  • We NEVER send your resume to any companies until we receive your permission – “Green light with interest to pursue”
  • Every company has a different interview process – some just want to get to know you, some will grill you on a technical level, some expect you to know specifics about them, some have deal breaker parameters not shown on the job description. This is only on a company level. Then each interviewer has their own style.
  • We’ll prep you to help navigate this minefield, and make sure you make a great 1st, 2nd and sometimes 3rd impression.
  • On the other side – most interviews are very informational in nature – hence we’ll help you fine-tune the appropriate questions to ask (and sometimes most importantly to avoid) to get the information necessary to make the right decision @ the end of an interview process.
  • This happens early in the process, in the middle of interviewing, and at the “decision step”. Origin Staffing is incentivized to make sure you are excited about an offer package.
  • References, Giving Notice, Background Checks, taking time off in between positions, making the right 1st impression with the new company. All of these steps can be tricky to navigate – we’ll be there by your side offering support & guidance.
